“Practicing Hope”
Laura Gordon presents a modified version of a sermon given by Rev. Nancy Combs Morgan, of the UUA Congregational Life Staff in the Southern Regiion.
In this time of challenge in the greater world, we are called, as Unitarian Universalists, to practice hope. Holding a shared vision of a values-based, whole community of courage and care, we can make the challenge into an opportunity for transformation.
Here is the “Time for All Ages” segment titled “Finding Hope” that accompanied Rev Combs’ sermon.
And the following is the sermon titled “Practicing Hope”.
We are meeting in person at the First Presbyterian Church of Astoria. The service will also be live-streamed via Zoom for those who are not comfortable attending in person. Masks are now optional but strongly advised. If you are not feeling well, please wear a mask, or attend via Zoom.
Child Care Is Provided.

Join us for Coffee Hour after the service in Fellowship Hall!
