Happy Fall Equinox!

Happy Fall Equinox

from Pacific Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

Along with the fall equinox (this year on September 22 at 6:03 PM PDT), comes harvest time in the northern hemisphere.  And with that, we celebrate the Harvest Moon, which is always the closest full moon to the fall equinox.  In the time before electric lights, it was the illumination of this Harvest Moon which gave farmers more time to gather in their crops.

This year’s Harvest Moon peaked on September 10.  In case you missed it, we’re including two images here.

This greeting comes to you from PUUF’s Connections Committee:
Karin, Chair; Madeline, Naomi, Lynne, and Jen.
