Beltane

Our local CUUPS Chapter will conduct their annual Beltane ritual. Beltane is the Gaelic May Day festival, marking the beginning of summer. It is traditionally held on 1 May, or about midway between the spring equinox and summer solstice.
Historically, it was widely observed in Ireland, Scotland, and the Isle of Man. It is one of the four main Gaelic seasonal festivals—along with Samhain, Imbolc, and Lughnasadh—and is similar to the Welsh Calan Mai.
Beltane involved fire rituals believed to protect people, livestock and crops.
Child Care is provided.
Every month we are featuring artwork relevant to our monthly theme. This month our theme is “What Is Good”. Laura Janes is this month’s contributor. This work, featured below, is titled “Finding the Good Unexpected Places.
