SUMMARY:Everyday Death
DESCRIPTION:Kicking off this month’s theme of “Death”\, join Rev. Mira to explore ways to build a more comfortable relationship with that final\, universal stage in our lives. What would it look like to keep our own death close in our hearts\, rather than feared and shunned? What of the death of those we love? This will be Rev. Mira’s final sermon before taking her planned maternity leave until the new year. \nThe Justice Partner will be Hope for Ukraine. \nWe are meeting in person at the First Presbyterian Church of Astoria. The service will also be live-streamed via Zoom for those who are not comfortable attending in person.  Masks are now optional but strongly advised. If you are not feeling well\, please wear a mask\, or attend via Zoom. \n \nJoin us for Coffee Hour after the service in Fellowship Hall!

Laura Janes is our lay leader this week. \n  \n \nThis week we are meeting in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church of Astoria. The Fellowship Hall is up the hill and on the corner of Irving and 11th St. The service will also be live-streamed via Zoom for those who are not comfortable attending in person.  Masks are now optional but strongly advised. If you are not feeling well\, please wear a mask\, or attend via Zoom. \n  \n \n \nJoin us for Coffee Hour after the service in Fellowship Hall!

SUMMARY:How a Remembered Prayer from Childhood Saved My Life
DESCRIPTION:When Karl Hauer went hunting years ago\, he expected to meet a deer and shoot it\, not get shot and meet God. That shot upended his life and set him on he would have never experienced otherwise. A native Astorian\, Karl has traded anger and guns for paint brushes\, paint and conversations with God. \nWe are meeting in person at the First Presbyterian Church of Astoria. The service will also be live-streamed via Zoom for those who are not comfortable attending in person.  Masks are now optional but strongly advised. SUMMARY:Samhain Ritual - Pulling Back the Veil
DESCRIPTION:Do you experience feelings of dread in your basement or attic?\nHave you or your family ever seen a spook\, spectre or ghost?\nIf the answer is “yes\,” then don’t wait another minute. Pick up the phone and call the professionals…\nOr\, since there really are no professional Ghostbusters\, join us for our CUUPs Samhain ritual and share your story.\nWe’re ready to believe you.\nWe will be gathering to share personal experiences with the ghostly and the otherworldly. We will discuss what might be out there. And we will save space on the altar for photos and memorabilia of departed loved ones\, so feel free to bring a memory as well.\nThis ritual will be conducted as part of the regular service of the Pacific Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (PUUF) and will be held in the fellowship hall\, located at the corner of Harrison Avenue and 11th Street\, Astoria. Stay for coffee hour after at 1:00 PM. \nWe are meeting in person at the First Presbyterian Church of Astoria. The service will also be live-streamed via Zoom for those who are not comfortable attending in person.  Masks are now optional but strongly advised.
