DESCRIPTION:Martin Luther King\, Jr said: “Of all the forms of inequality\, injustice in health is the most shocking and inhuman because it often results in physical death.” Oregonians established affordable health care as a constitutional right in 2022. Oregon is the only state with this constitutional guarantee. Learn how HCAO is working across all communities to bring a transformational and just health care system that will truly realize health care for all as a human right. \nValdez G. Bravo is President of Health Care for All Oregon. He holds a Master in Healthcare Administration and a Master in Business Administration\, and is a Board Certified Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Valdez served in the Army for eight years as a medical equipment repair technician and then worked for the next 18 years at the Department of Veterans Affairs. He currently serves as Deputy Director of the Multnomah County Health Department. \nWe are meeting in person at the First Presbyterian Church of Astoria.
