DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for a deeper dive into UU theology and history? Would you like to explore what your faith means to you in a supportive environment? Join your fellow UUs for a get together\, via Zoom\, the first and third Wednesday evening each month\, to do just that. We will review a reading or a video ahead of time\, then come together to delve into it further in this lay-lead “study group”. The first session will be April 17 at 7:00 PM. \nThe topic for the first Wisdom Wednesday is “The Five Jagged Rocks of Unitarian Univeralism.” This is an articulation of a shared UU theology pioneered in the Mountain Desert District and especially promoted in UU youth spaces over the last several years. Through advocacy\, accompaniment\, and organizing\, IMIrJ exposes the harm that these policies and actions inflict on the entire community and takes radical action for the transformation of power\, providing real opportunities to take action for change. \n  \n~Open hearts\, open minds\, room for all theologies\, including yours~\n  \nWe are meeting in person at the First Presbyterian Church of Astoria. The service will also be live-streamed via Zoom for those who are not comfortable attending in person.  Masks are now optional but strongly advised.
